His company organizes several information management trainings and events in the Benelux. Erik was for many years conference chair of the HartmanEVENT in the netherlands. Currently he heads TIMAF, an organizations that fosters digital transformation in organizations.

While studying Communication and Information Management at the Utrecht University, Erik worked at IBM. There he discovered the huge gap between business and IT.
Ever since he has been actively aligning bussiness and IT people and departments with the use of communication and information management.

Erik is a regular speaker at international events about subjects like e-government,
content management, content strategy, content architecture and usability.
